Nigel Stally is the Chairmain of OBCIC and is a graduate of Brunel University and completed his professional training at the Alfa Laval Group where as an executive project manager he was responsible for delivering many successful multi million pound turnkey contracts for major public companies. Since 2008 he has been Executive Director of Towards Maturity CIC, a not for profit organisation which provides research and development to support the successful application of learning technologies in employer organisations. He is the founder MD of two Technology and Consulting companies and has held executive appointments with both small and large corporations, including Oracle and the QA Group. He established Strategic Management Facilities in 1990 and continues to consult for IT, software, engineering, manufacturing, consulting, technology and technical services businesses in the UK, EMEA and Asia Pacific markets. He has undertaken a broad range of strategic and operational work including, marketing, business development and continuous improvement activities, applying the latest technology, processes and methodologies to maximise results. He has a passion for business excellence and is both market focused and pragmatic.
Charles Humphreys Is the Operations Director of OBCIC. He is a graduate of Surrey University – Roehampton, BSc Joint Hons in Business and French. He is also a qualified careers guidance practitioner, with over nine years experience of delivering career solutions with young people and adults, and also of developing partnerships throughout London. His last role was with nextstep London as the Communications and Marketing manager – Prospects Services Ltd. In this role, he successfully developed a pan-London partnership that delivered a high quality careers advice service to adults.
Also during his time at Prospects he also achieved success, as a qualified Prince2™ Practitioner, in delivering many projects in London designed to help people return to work. He also has 2 years experience of running the operations side of a busy furniture recycling project in Camberwell, London SE5, designed to help people on low incomes.
Charles secured a publishing contract to write a book that will be released in the UK, USA, Australia and other countries in late 2010. The book will offer a Christian faith-based look at the important topic of jobs and careers.
Abdul Akodu is a Director of OBCIC, and studied at the London School of Accountancy were he qualified as an Accounting Technician in 1993 and went on to become a full member of the Association. He has worked for various small and medium size firms including Brithish chambers of Commerece, Greater London Authority, Cushman and Wakefield Healey & Baker and DEFRA. He also run his own property managing business. He is currently working on technology transfer program for the Nigerian government and private clients. He is passionate about empowering people.
Matthew Afolabi is a Director of OBCIC and holds qualification in Education (Agricultural Science) with which he lectured for a number of years abroad. He was a Horticultural instructor for many years while studying for his Post graduate qualification at Kingston University. With professional qualifications in IT both software and hardware, ITIL and project management, he has bridged the gap between business and information technology providing his clients with the right solution for their needs. This has included complex projects in the housing, education, caring and banking arena in areas such as change management, project management, interim manager, system engineer, administration and support, call centres, data conversion from legacy to new systems and Development of ICT methodologies and processes.
Since 2007 Matthew has been Managing Director of Zielogics; an ICT support services, Training and Systems Consultancy company which primarily provide onsite and remote computer support, software/hardware repairs, maintenance & upgrades, ICT People Management and interim IT manager for Housing Association; Charities, schools and Small Business.
